So... I've been sitting on this for the whole month because of hiatuses/financial madness/laziness. BUT NOW THE MONTH IS ABOUT TO END AND WITH THAT THE FREE USERPICS PROMOTION, s-so it's time to make a serious decision.

And now allow me to explain!! Finances are still kind of wacky for me, so logically I should go for the second option. Except... having things paid for for more than two months is relatively cheaper and that's two characters less I'd need to worry about. Not to mention lolol, who knows what's going to happen with the USD next year.

On the other hand, I'm still very 8( at LJ in general and giving them so much money makes me feel like I'm betraying my own principles. NOT TO MENTION... they might still do the a la carte userpics deal sometime before/around March and then all of my issues would be solved. Or... not, because this is LJ we're talking about, BUT I DIGRESS. Also, it'd be more charas for less money.

SO, THIS IS MY DILEMMA. Right now I'm leaning more towards the second option, but like I said, input is appreciated. Help me Obi-Wan CFUD, you are my only hope.

I can live without icons! But only for a few of them. What I also do is like, I get X chara two months and keep Y with a plus for that time, then swap them around when X's paid time runs out.

Primaries aren't so much of an issue, actually! Since I... haven't had a real primary for a good while now.

So it's kind of like this:

Characters that I can easily play on Plus: 3

Characters that I can play on Plus, but need paid time every now and then: 3

Characters that are bitches to have on Plus, but it's been done before and will continue being done anyway: 4

Characters that BECOME UNPLAYABLE WITHOUT PAID TIME: 2

I usually pay 6 months for the characters I need icons for/want more spaces for (Goku, Ikki) and 2 months for the ones it doesn't really matter to me for (all the rest lol).

It really depends on how much money you have and whether it would cripple you.

I personally would choose option one if only to break up when the need for paid time hits you. As a rule I have to pay all six at once, and that can be a problem if you didn't expect it coming or you're between paychecks. So breaking it up can help. It's cheaper, overall, to do it this way because in two months time you won't get the free icons, whereas right now you would.

That said, if it's going to make your financial situation dire, then I wouldn't go for it.

It's a concept of scrimping this month to alleviate your future spending on LJ. Hell, I know I will be splurging on a 6 month on one of my characters.

. . . Shit, I need to buy time for Yukito. And, actually, I did one with most of mine. Like, I bought six months for Himawari, Fuuma and Hajun and then two months for Ryuuken, Touda and . . . uh. I think that was it. I'm probably just going to get two months for Yuki. My others are already paid through sometime in 2009.

P.S. I want to throw Hajun at Gojyo.
